Day 4 - Frock

This little velveteen dress was mine when I was a toddler. My mother made it for me, and now it's a decoration in my bedroom. This is a close-up shot of the tapestry ribbon that encircles the bodice.

  1. Using a dress as a decoration is a bizarre but interesting idea. This is a great shallow DOF closeup shot and the colour scheme links well with your other three shots. Nice work.

  2. What a sweet little dress, I love the embroidery colours. Great DoF here, the same coloured border makes the whole pic "pop" and completes the pic perfectly.

  3. I love the softness of this. For some reason, this is quite an emotional picture, imho.

  4. I honestly thought it to be an antique curtain at first sight. Lovely faded colours.

  7. Watch out! These little insights into your life are showing you to be quite sentimental!

  8. I like the vignette (if that's actually what you call it when you use white instead of black). It's really cool that you have kept that from your childhood. I don't have anything from that far back...high school mementos and awards is all.

  9. What a lovely subject for a photo. You've composed this one well and I like the dof too.

  11. The delicate embroidery work, the colors in pastel and delicate texture of the fabric are simply amazing! The complements out of focus in the foreground and the colors of the frame combining with all the things are "trademark" of capriccio. FANTASTIC!
