Day 16 - Old Friend

This stuffed dog is an old friend from my childhood. His name is Henry (the patch you can see has his name embroidered on it). My grandmother gave me this small dog, and she had the life-sized dog at her home. It was probably about 3 ft. tall, but I remember it being huge. She gave my sister and me the small matching dogs to keep at our house and I still have mine. The button eyes are long gone.

  1. I like the vignette that really focuses the attention on him, and having him lying like that under the Christmas tree is a nice touch. Cool lighting too and I like the storyline.

  2. He does look a tad abandoned lying on the floor like that but you can tell he he isn't because he's been well loved!!! Don't feel too bad about the Christmas tree - I only put our nativity scenes away today.

  3. Aww what a loved looking bear, I'm sort of jealous as I never had a cuddly bear when I was little :-(
Very good lighting and while it looks sort of an any old shot, I think you took your time.
You could always get some new eyes for him or take him to a bear hospital?

  6. HOHO! What a cute dog!
I think that all your pictures are great, but this one is special for me. I love animals (you can see in my blog for this challenge...) and the way that people see then.
The puppy looks "abandoned", but you managed to show warmth and affection in your composition and background. Very beautiful!
