Day 1 - Nutcracker

This is a 2 1/2 ft. tall nutcracker doll that stands on top of my tv stand. Shot with my new-ish Sigma 70-300mm lens from across the room about 20 ft. away. I like how it seems to be floating.

  1. Lovely clean crisp shot. And the background colour goes well as well. I also like your border.

  2. Great colours and a lovely smooth but slightly marbled background. Very nice work for a great challenge start! Shooting at home is definitely easier than going out to shoot all the time!

  4. Nice use of negative space :) Twenty feet away, huh. Amazing. Looks like you were standing right in front of it. I love the shine and the colors, too.

  5. Nicely done. As I told SigloV... I really like nutcrackers. Yours is similar to my nutcracker (which I couldn't find this year), but taller. Looking forward to the month's photos.
