Happy 4th of July! This little country church actually has a larger newer sanctuary behind it. I like the symmetry and traditional face of the older chapel.
And here's a bonus shot with a patriotic frame since it's American Independence Day!

Nice. I really love how you can see the bricks. Awesome detail. Nice job on the frames. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful church! I love how the soft feathery clouds contrast with the strong brick and line elements of the church. Nice break from the symmetry of the building, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy July 4th to you, too!
Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how sturdy-looking these churches are. Nothing like the single roomed wooden ones that doubled for church and school in the old, old days.
The church is actually called Flippen?!?! That's almost bloomin' swearing!
ReplyDeleteAnother nice shot. Good job.
Kimbomac took the words out of my mouth, funny name for a church.
ReplyDeleteThis building has a simplicity and complexity all at once and your image really captures that.
Yep - it's really Flippen. That's the name of the area of town, and there's Flippen Road... even though this church is actually on Jodeco Road (like the day 2 church). :)
ReplyDeletehahaha! I thought the same thing about the name. Glad I'm not the only one. Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteLOL Flippen...A co-worker has family that live in Arkansas near a town called Flippen. Whenever they go to visit, they always make sure they go to the Flippen Wal-Mart.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot. Looks like y'all had a beautiful day.
You're really wowing me with these gorgeous church shots - I love how your angle and perspective seems to give them all a unique personality!
ReplyDelete"Flippen"? You rock cap! :)
