Day 9 - Eagle's Landing Church of God

This view is deceiving. Eagle's Landing Church of God is a huge church. This is just the main entrance to the large sanctuary. See? :)

  2. Now this looks a lot like the church I went to when I was younger. The position of the clouds in this one is perfect. Great shot cap! :)

  3. The clouds look like there's boiling stuff coming out of the steeple! Looks like a great church and all that green looks lovely. I can imagine how nice those Christmas trees must look in December! ;-)
The Google Maps reference took me to a busy intersection! Cars everywhere!

  4. Yes - that's the right location. The church has its own stop light! If you rotate the street view, you'll see the church across the street from the gas station. :)

  5. Just out of curiosity, are you giving copies of these pictures to the churches? I think they'd love them, your photos are great! :)

  7. re: thephrog - I haven't yet, but that's a great idea! I think when my collection is complete, I'll also contact the Chamber of Commerce like others suggested. :)

  8. Another lovely church. You got over thirty churches in your area?

  9. lol - I have over 30 churches within 4 miles of my house. There's probably about 300 at least in my county (and Georgia Counties are pretty small - about 15-20 square miles?)

  10. This is probably my favorite shot so far. The cloudy sky, greenery and orange brick all just go together to make this beautiful shot. This is such a quaint church :)
