Day 18 - Shiloh Baptist Church

This is the new sanctuary for Shiloh Baptist Church. The older chapel sits to the right of this building and is still used. It's a very large church that sits directly across the street from two very large churches in the downtown McDonough area. In fact, one of the churches across the street was the gothic style Baptist church from day 11. I've been inside this sanctuary twice for town hall meetings with our state representative. Very pretty and huge!

  1. I like the way the reflection is captured in the windows on this one.

  2. WOw, that looks like an awesome building with great lighting inside from all those windows! What a great place that would be for a photo shoot. Love your choice of font too! Well done. HDR again?

  4. Not HDR, but rather an extreme highpass filter on overlay. It does make it look HDR now that I think about it.

    Thanks guys!

By the way, the font is a Harry Potter knock-off from one of the free font sites (can't remember which one, sorry). I like it. Not sure if it's just used in the American printings (English versions have a different layout and illustrator I know), but this font heads the chapters in the books over here.

  7. All of these churches look like they're out of storybooks......
Just out of curiosity, are there any non-Christian religions that have places of worship there?
